Youth to Adult

Welcome to our Rose Park class!!!

The Horizonte Rose Park Youth-to-Adult Program is designed to support 12th graders who will not graduate with their class and students whose class graduated the previous school year. It is a program where students will earn credits needed for their graduation requirements.

The Rose Park Site is located in the NW corner of the Salt Lake Center for Science Education (SLCSE) building (1400 W. Goodwin Ave. Salt Lake City, UT 84116).

Enter through the NW doors of SLCSE. Ring the bell if the doors are locked.

Eligibility requirements:

12th graders with less than 12 credits (12th graders with more than 12 credits--Main Site Youth Program should be first option)

Super-seniors (Class of 24)

New and returning students must attend orientation and registration which are held on separate days. Registration includes testing and students must plan to attend the three-hour block.

Required documents, etc. at Orientation:

  • Referral from home school counselor for Horizonte
  • K12 withdrawal form
  • K12 students must bring a parent-person/guardian to orientation
  • Proof-of-address must include student's name and current address
  • Current transcript

When students leave K12 education, they are no longer eligible for sports at the traditional high schools.

We do not have the staff for special ed. accommodations, so if a student has an IEP or 504, Main Site and other programs are a better fit.
