    School-based therapy for students through Odyssey House  

  • Just like at a job, you should let us know when you’re going to miss school. Every absence should be excused.  To excuse an absence, you should do the following: 

    1. Email horizonte.attendance@slcschools.org or call 801-578-8574 with your name, student number, and reason for absence. 
    2. Email the teacher(s) whose class(es) you’ll miss to ask what work you missed and how to make it up. 
  • To get to Canvas, go to Canvas or link from the Horizonte or SLCSD webpage. 
    Login with your school email and password 

    School emails look like this: first.last@slcstudent.org 

    • Canvas and PowerSchool 
    • Checking grades and attendance 
    • Teachers update grades in PowerSchool every Thursday night. 
    • Email your teachers right away if you notice any issues with your grades or attendance!

    SafeUT and UNI Crisis Line Everyday 24 hours   801-587-3000 

    Free 24/7 crisis counseling for people experiencing emotional distress or psychiatric crisis.  

  • Our main site campus is open to students Monday – Friday from 8am to 4pm. You are welcome to come early or stay late to use a computer for homework or get extra help.
