Adult Education Registrations for 2026/27 school year

Students who plan to register for Rose Park need to bring in the following documents:

  • ONE proof of address (any bill, Utah ID card, rental agreement, Library card) 
  • Official Transcript
  • If you are younger than 18, you will need to bring a parent with you.
  • Enter through the NW doors at SLCSE (1400 W. Goodwin Ave., SLC).

    Ring the bell if the door is locked. Knock—loudly--if bell isn't working. (It's not working right now...neither are the phones)

Horizonte’s Youth-to-Adult Program in ROSE PARK: 1400 W. Goodwin Ave. Salt Lake City, UT 84116 (@SLCSE) 

GENERAL INFORMATION 

  • Classes are held Monday-Thursday: 9:45am-2:15pm 

  • Two-Year program 

  • Ages 17-20 

  • Open-campus lunch is 30 minutes each day (11:45am-12:15pm) 

  • There is a minimum attendance requirement to be eligible to earn credit for each class 

  • Students must enter and leave through the NW doors of Salt Lake Center for Science Education (SLCSE) 

  • Students must sign in when entering the building and sign out before leaving the building 

  • Ring the bell if the doors are locked, use the Remind app, or call 801-578-5099 

  • All students are encouraged to apply for free/reduced lunch online  

  • Signed field trip forms and up-to-date emergency contact information must be on file to be eligible to participate in field trip opportunities 

  • There is a ZERO TOLERANCE policy for drugs and alcohol, bullying, and cheating   

  • Students are expected to maintain a job appropriate dress code  

Ten consecutive, unexcused absences (no documentation) will result in being dropped from the program

REQUIREMENTS FOR GRADUATION 

  • All students are required to earn 24 credits in specific subject areas to graduate.  

  • All students are required to earn a CASAS score of ABE6 in Math and a CASAS score of ABE6 in Reading to be eligible to graduate.
