Mission Statement
Valuing the diversity and individual worth of students, Horizonte Instruction and Training Center, a learning center, will provide the education and skills necessary for students to achieve self-sufficiency and become contributing participants within their community.

STUDENTS RANGE IN AGE FROM 12 TO 85, COME FROM 64 COUNTRIES, AND SPEAK 82 LANGUAGES. NINETY PERCENT OF THE SCHOOL POPULATION LIVE AT OR BELOW THE POVERTY LEVEL.

Our Goal is to give all students an opportunity to succeed by providing a rigorous foundation of knowledge so they're ready to work, continue their education, and engage in the practice of freedom.

HORIZONTE SERVES NEARLY 9,000 STUDENTS A YEAR INCLUDING YOUTH, YOUNG PARENTS, REFUGEES AND NEW AMERICANS.

Horizonte Is a progressive non-traditional public high school in the Salt Lake City School District. HORIZONTE STUDENTS FACE ENORMOUS CHALLENGES WHILE COMPLETING THEIR HIGH SCHOOL EDUCATION. THEY DEAL WITH SURVIVAL ISSUES DAILY. THE MAJORITY ARE EMPLOYED, AND MANY ARE SINGLE PARENTS STRUGGLING TO RAISE AND SUPPORT THEIR FAMILIES.

You have an opportunity to help those most in need reach their goals and further their education dreams.
